We hope you like what have seen so far, we look forward to welcoming you to our home. We have lived here for 21yrs having sold our farm, our three children have grown and moved on. We have visiting grandchildren most days, so this is very much a family home.
While operating the bed and breakfast just over three years, I am not totally new to the business, having operated Summerfield Lodge as a B&B from 1999 to 2004, I enjoyed it then, while it was very different as there was no internet, guests called to the door or we operated a ” Bush Telegraph” system with the other B&Bs in town and it actually worked. We are a small operation with three bedrooms and a cottage for self-catering guests. We do try to go over and above and give a warm Irish welcome, i.e the Cead mile failte (hundred thousand welcomes), so whether its giving you help and advice for your onward journey, booking a restaurant or simply giving you a drive to town, we do try to make your stay as hassle free and enjoyable as possible.
